£24,000 raised for Yorkshire-based infants charity
We’d like to say a huge thanks to Gordons, our first corporate sponsors, for their extraordinary fundraising and support. We’ve been overwhelmed with the genuine interest and enthusiasm with which the teams there and their clients have embraced our cause.
We hadn’t anticipated such incredible support and the monies raised will now go directly to where they’re needed, so this huge donation really will make a difference and save babies’ lives throughout Yorkshire.

Yorkshire Warrior
Emma Sellars completed the tough 16 kilometres course across the Yorkshire countryside with hills, bogs, 200m river walk, 1km underground tunnel, fire, ice bath, barbed wire, electric fence, crawling, climbing, log carrying, pressure washer firing range plus lots more.
Trek Mnt. Kinabalu
Amy Croxford took part in a hike across the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. The summit is a whopping 4,095m and took a couple of days for her to complete.
Stuffed animals
Vessa Grey’s mother knitted a selection of stuffed animals to be sold internally with all the proceeds going to FoAM.
Construction Quiz evening
We held a musical themed quiz evening for clients; attendees included PDR Construction, HB Projects, SCD Group and more. This event saw a huge and very generous donation from Stainforth Construction for a framed Oasis signed photo.
January Blues Basher Dash
Commercial litigation team, Andy Todd, Danny Smith and Samantha Bell embarked on the Basher Dash which is a gruelling half-marathon from the Bradford office all the way to the Leeds office – sporting some crazy clothing too!
Leeds Half Marathon Corporate Relay
We competed in the 2014 corporate relay, with each participant required to complete a 2-3 mile leg of the route.
5-a-side Football Tournament
During the World Cup period, our annual football tournament saw 22 teams battle it out for the prestigious Gordons football tournament championship. Teams included First4Lawyers, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander, Morrisons and eventual winners BDO.
Staff Music Evening
A night which saw Gordons showcase some of it’s fantastic musical talents. Highlights included a memorable re-enactment of the movie, Grease, as well as John Holden performing with Charlie Smith in a band which was put together especially for the evening, called ‘The Disclaimers’.
