Run entirely by volunteers, The Friends of Alfie Martin relies totally on the generosity of the local community as it works towards its goal of reducing the current delay in transporting sick babies due to the lack of appropriate resources in the region.

The Friends of Alfie Martin was founded in 2002 to improve the provision for transportation of critically ill babies throughout the Yorkshire area.
